It’s No Wonder The World Is F*&^#n Nuts…We’re All Peeling Onions

March 22, 2011 Read Between the Lines The Fine Print Mine, yours, theirs Left, right, Wrong too much, too Little You can’t, you must Shoulds, Shouldn’ts Coulds, couldn’ts We’re all peeling onions. We’re scraping away at the layers and levels of life, looking to define it, secure it, defend it. It’s no wonder the world is in the shape it is in. If all of the regular people are arguing and debating and struggling with the finest points, how do we expect regular people to run the world. And, let’s face it, they are just regular people – regular people with incredibly irregular jobs. This comes to light this week through my ex. I don’t want to get into a whole lot of details, but the argument was all about vacation time. We argued for two days over just how many days I could have our daughters. It was absurd. It got nasty. I even had to bust out the custody papers and read them to her. And, all over a two day difference. Two days. At one point I was so angry, so fired up, that

Get Into The Groove (week 2)

Get Into the Groove is week 2 of the project, running Fri, Feb 4 through Thurs., Feb 10. The project gets a little more involved this week – adding some editing. I think it makes the flow more enjoyable and easier to follow.   Groove, pt. 1 In this episode: The Intro; Time – “Relieved”; My First “Day” of Work; Expecting The Hard Drive; Recapping the “Work”; “This is why I edit”; Life has Its Own Flow     Groove, pt. 2 In This Episode: Reasons The Camera Should Be On; More Crazy Dreams; Mom’s Story     Groove, pt. 3 In this episode: Oh Olivia!; 11”; I Love The Snow; Got The Van Back; A Lot of Nothing     Groove, pt. 4 In this episode: Purging and Stickin’ To The Plan; Another One Bites The Dust; A Work Update; Feeling Slightly Frustrated; Loading Up the Girls; Packing for Traveling     Groove, pt. 5 In this episode: “That Baby Wasn’t Born From Me; A Visit From Shizzlebottom; The Chickie Nuggets; Announcing “The Geist Party”

A New Beginning is a “back to basics” series of episodes. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I find myself without the video processing software – no edits, no enhancements. I found that this was a good opportunity to begin anew. The hope is that you will see development in the editing/processing as things move forward and get repaired. I also hope that it will make the process more familiar to the viewer, become something that can be related to and appreciated. A New beginning serves a number of purposes in this project and will become the foundation for the experience to come. The idea of this initial post is to set the stage, to help demonstrate the growth and inevitably the use of the ARTs.   Episode 7, pt. 1 In this episode: The Intro; Time – “Relieved”; My First “Day” of Work; Expecting The Hard Drive; Recapping the “Work”; “This is why I edit”; Life has Its Own Flow;   Episode 7, pt. 2 In This Episode: Reasons The Camera Should Be On; More Crazy Dreams; Mom’s Story

Seriously? Could the days get any better? I had another good day of work. It wasn’t quite what I had planned, but it worked out. It changes tomorrow quite a bit, but again, it all works out. (It All Works.) So, anyway, I had a good day of work only to come home and find a whole lot more work available to me. It’s not scheduled for a few more weeks, but I signed up for as much as I could. I like the roll that I am on right now. So, I had my good day of work and tonight a friend called and offered to take me out for a few beers, which was an excellent time. Along the way, I realized that I have what I need to get through the week. That was an interesting process. When I stood here at Monday and looked all the way to Friday and all of the twists and turns in between it looked like a kind of long difficult time. But then, I broke it down. First, I looked at tomorrow. I have what I need to get through tomorrow. The gas in my tank should do me fine, even with all of the driving I will do.

On: The Videos

March 13, 2011 I wanted to take a moment and write about the video portion of this blog/experiment, espeicially A New Beginning. A New Beginning is a set of videos that you do not necessarily have to watch. There is information in them and they can be mildly amusing, but they can also be tiresome. They are a necessary evil. There are points in the series that will be referenced as we move forward. You do not miss anything if you do not watch these videos right now. You may want to come back and watch them over time. Also, I have made an executive decision if you will. After some YouTube complications, I reviewed everything. I can post up to 20 mins of video at one time on FaceBook. So, I think I will publish the regular 10 min vids on here through Youtube, then when I post on FaceBook I will post 20 minute segments. I think this might make a difference. The video is longer but there is more time for flow and groove. In ten minute videos, something just gets started and then you hav

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

March 13, 2011 What another splendid day! I managed to get a lot done today. I got some video processing finished. Laundry is done and put away. And, I am completely scheduled out and organized for my week. I even managed to get clothes together for each day.  The way I got it figured – the less I have to think each day, the better. So I am going to do one more quick check and make sure that I am ready for my week. I do have a few manifestation issues I’d like to see resolved before the end of the week…but we shall see. I’ve got a fairly steady week and a lot of driving to do so we shall see how all of that pans out. I have a little bit more I’d like to accomplish today. This post is a part of that. I like the way things are going. If I have calculated correctly, then when this week is over I will have earned my minimum monthly requirement. And I still have a week left plus 4 days plus tax money coming in. There’s a chance that I will next week fairly light in order to catch up a

Hot Damn!!

What an absolutely, wonderful, magical, fantabulous day! I FEEL GOOD! My day started off a little rough. I woke up early enough but, despite my proclamations of getting things done, I found myself very lazy in the first part of the day. Perhaps that was because the later part of my day was going to be so action packed. I took the girls to lunch today. It was a short adventure but a very nice one. I picked Nyssa up at home first and then the two of us went to Mak’s school to pick her up. I gave Makayla her stuff for “Pirate Day” at school on Friday. Then we headed down the street to get a lil Chinese buffet. The girl’s are just fascinated with the whole Chinese buffet experience. After lunch I took the girls home and headed home myself. And, I have gotten so much done since then. I am caught up with everything. I am scheduled out and organized for the next two weeks. I am at a place of peace. It has been a very long time since I have been able to be this organized and prepared. Bec

So weak

March 8, 2011 It’s been a very nice couple of days.  I apologize for not being able to check in. The weekend was busy with the girls. Sunday night took a turn I had not expected and last night I couldn’t wait to go to sleep. All of this is good. I’m still a little peeved about the whole video being muted thing but I suppose you’ll have this. I wish I could write more. I’m just not feeling it the last few days. I sit down and try to take a whack at it, but it doesn’t flow the way I would like. I am sensing another shift coming up. I can’t imagine what it could be. I am looking forward to lunch with my daughters tomorrow. Wow…such a weak entry. Perhaps tomorrow I can get a better one. Speaking of tomorrow, I have decided that I am going to post this first set of videos every other day. So week 1 day 2 will come tomorrow and Day 3 on Friday. Days 5, 6, & 7 will come next Monday, Wednesday and Friday respectively. I suppose you’re wondering what happened to day 4. I don’t know. I

Ugh

March 7, 2011 Just doing a lil check-in. I know I need to do a longer one at some point but now is not the time. I plan on doing a good day of work tomorrow and I am feeling kinda tired now. I have begun a quest. I don’t know for what or how its going to work, but I am intrigued by it. Also, I discovered that apparently one of the videos posted earlier has “licensed content” and they killed the sound for the whole video. Not sure what that is or how it works, because at best I had music on in the background. Hmmm? Nazis? If you want to catch that video, you can find it on Facebook, under the Group Welcome to my Life. Speaking of videos, after watching episode 1 again, I now know why I edit. lol.

I Saw The Light….

March 4, 2011 Today is the day of redemption…kind of. I received pay today – not from one company, but from two. Not only did I receive pay, but I only had one bill to pay out of it. The pay was still a little on the light side, but it was enough to satisfy. The day went well and ran fairly smooth. I didn’t have as much work to do today as I had originally thought but I was okay with that. I got my work done fairly early in the day. Then came home and took a lil nap. I worked on some video, talked to a client, and then went off to get my daughters. I picked them up and the first thing we did was head to Wal-Mart (I know, I know) to get some fish tank supplies. We have this fish tank that I just have not been able to keep clean. Through the process I learned that I didn’t actually start it “properly.” So, I haven’t had money for filters lately. Since I did today, and should moving forward, I decided we would start the whole procedure over again. We emptied the tank and got new rocks

Today, Tomorrow, Next Week

March 3, 2011 It was yet another good day. (I’m really liking this streak!) I think I almost got up at 5. I heard the alarm go off. I turned it off and laid there for a moment, just kind of chilling…and then it was 7:30. LOL. That’s ok though. I got up and went about my day and by 10:30 I was ready to get to work. I hadn’t planned on leaving until 2, so I was way ahead of schedule. (Speaking of which, I need to get that entered into the system.) Incidentally, I was home by 1:30. I then set about editing video. I realized that I am in a bit better shape then I had thought. Week 2 is ready to be processed. Week three is close behind. Weeks 4 & 5 are in the clipping process. And week 4 doesn’t post for another 30 days. So over the next week I have two goals. One is to get done as much as I can on weeks 4, 5, & 6. The second is to start clipping week 7 day by day. Clipping is the longest, most tedious part of the process. So, I figure, if I can clip each day as it happens it won’

Projected Video Posts

Here is the projected schedule for the upcoming video posts: Monday, March 7 – Week 1, Day 1 (Jan 21, 2011) Tuesday, March 8, 2011 – Week 1, Day 2 (Jan 22, 2011) Wednesday, March 9, 2011 – Week 1, Day 3 (Jan 23, 2011) Monday, March 14, 2011 – Week 1, Day 4(Jan 25, 2011) Tuesday, March 15, 2011 – Week 1, Day 5 (Jan 26, 2011) Wednesday March 16, 2011 – Week 1, Day 6 (Jan 27, 2011) Monday, March 21, 2011 – Week 2 (Jan 28-Feb 3, 2011) Monday, March 28, 2011 – Week 3 (Feb 4-10, 2011) A few notes on week 1 – When I started, or rather re-started this project, I did not have my video software available. But, it was time to begin again and I saw this as a chance to take a step back in time and do a “back to basics” series of videos.  Back in the day, way in the beginning of this project, I did not have digital video, nor did I have much editing capability. So I taped on VHS and made the most of it. Week 1 is not edited!! This is more of a warning than anything else. LOL. The videos con

Sweet and Simple

March 2, 2011 Another good day! I got one pile of branches removed from the back yard. It only took about 15 trips to the waste yard and that was only half of the branches that are back there. I like working like that and I like feeling tired after working like that. I’ve been continuing on with the video editing. I do think I am going to start posting on Monday. But, I will post a “post schedule” here before I start. (In fact, I may do that next.) Not much else to report really. Oh…I got my discs with the data from the old HD. Only, I am having trouble unzipping them. (One Step Forward and Two Steps Back.) Other than that it is really just business as usual. Peace and blessings

Another Day Down

March 1, 2011 I’m taking a short break from editing the upcoming videos. I still don’t know how exactly, or when, I plan on posting the first few. I originally intended on beginning the posting on March 21. I was going to start with week 1 which is actually a long series of videos. After week 1 I go back to the latest weekly format. However, I don’t think it will work well posting all of those videos together in one week. It’s a lot all at once. And, though it’s not necessary for anyone to watch all of them, it may be helpful. So, my next thought was to post them over two weeks. But then, that mean that the meat of the project won’t begin until the first week of April. Another thought was to do that but to start earlier, perhaps even next week. But then that pushes up my timeline for finishing the posts I am working on. We will see. Overall it was a very good day.  I went to Reading and got some work done. Also, I was able to determine how much more work I can add to my schedule (bas
I would have thought that by this time in the night I would have been well on my way to Never-Never Wonderland; that alternate reality we know as sleep. It’s amazing how the body can be so tired, so drained, and yet the mind can race and the spirit can fly. It was a good day. It became a tad frustrating towards the end but all in all it was a very good day. I left the house this morning at 6:30. I was off to do some work. (I really do love the sound of that.) I returned home a wee past 4:30. In between, I worked and took care of business and chilled and lived and, perhaps even for a moment, loved. I came home and wanted to do nothing except sit…and veg. Which, I did for many hours. Don’t get me wrong. I did quite a bit more as well – finished my paperwork for the day, returned some phone calls, planned my tomorrow, edited video, so on and so on.  Now, I am treating myself to a up of White Chai Tea. I feel accomplished today and am looking forward to moving forward from here. I have a
